Eddie Chang is Featured in All-Chinese Seattle Luxury Living Magazine
On June 1st, Eddie Chang was featured in the second edition of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty’s1 (RSIR) all-Chinese Seattle Luxury Living2 magazine, which is catered to Chinese consumers in the Pacific Northwest as well as those seeing real estate and lifestyle opportunities throughout the Seattle metro area. Chang highlights his success as a residential real estate broker on the Eastside, and recent significant sales in Kirkland, Bellevue and Mercer Island.
Given the success of the 2016 edition, which commanded over 30,000 copies in print and 70,000 digital downloads via WeChat, the latest edition was expanded to 112 pages of exclusive real estate listings, partnerships and lifestyle editorial. A print run of 25,000 copies of the magazine is being distributed via the international baggage claim terminal at SeaTac International Airport and Vancouver International Airport, and will be available at select airport lounges and retailers, five-star hotels, Starbucks Reserve, RSIR retail stores.
“The Pacific Northwest has become a global real estate market and our Chinese magazine is just another sign of the times,” said John Spear, Publisher of Tiger Oak Media’s3 Seattle Luxury Living. “Asian consumers are an influential demographic and a major consumer of luxury products and services in our region. Many local businesses are eager to welcome an increasingly international clientele.”
RSIR brokers including Chang are reporting a record year of home sales to mainland Chinese buyers, which comprised about 50-percent of the top sales in many Eastside neighborhoods in 2016, a figure up from an estimated 33-percent compared to the prior year. Leading the trend, Chang is a member of RSIR’s exclusive 14-member Asia Services Group4, a collective of real estate brokers that specialize in the language and logistics of international sales.
In a press release earlier this month5, Tom Norwalk, Visit Seattle6 President & CEO, told RSIR that “China is Seattle’s largest overseas tourism market and we expect yet greater growth in the future,” adding that “Visit Seattle maintains in-country marketing reputation in China and leads annual tourism missions to several Chinese cities in order to stimulate tour and travel business, and generate positive travel media coverage of our destination. We are excited that the new Seattle Luxury Living Magazine will welcome Chinese visitors.”
